I wandered outside with my camera today, intent on getting some good manual settings with the gorgeous evening sunlight. Slowly, the settings become easier for me to master with each snap of my shutter, and I try to focus on what I'm learning, and not how long the process is taking.
I used my favorite lens, my 50 mm, shooting wide open. Signs of spring are everywhere. Small red buds were all over my bushes, ready to open up at any time. The bulbs I planted in the fall are sprouting up with the heads of the daffodils almost opening to the sunlight. I needed spring to come more than ever this year.
It is as is if everything outdoors is waking up again. Every year I try to see it with fresh eyes.
